Purification of the Legends
The
Legends may not be hard to catch, but they sure are hard to Purify. I found that just carrying them around and battling with
them was my best bet. Even though you can use Scents to help the process along and the Day Care Lady, both do not purify as
well as just battling it out! I also recommend for all the Shadow Pokemon, having at least one other Purified Pokemon. Having
Purified Pokemon on your team will help if the Shadow Pokemon goes into Hyper Mode. At that point, you'll at least have one
Pokemon that will listen to your commands! Battling the legends is not the hard part, getting to them is!! Be sure to have
a backup in case your Pokemon faint. Umbreon was mine in most of my battles.
Catching Entei
In order to catch Entei, I had to figure out how I was going to get rid of the other Pokemon first. At the
very beginning of the game I was able to catch a Bayleef. The others on my team were Noctowl, Quagsire, Misdreavus and my
two starters, Umbreon and Espeon. I purified all of the Shadow Pokemon as best I could first while in Pyrite Town. This took some doing, but it
was best because I was then able to use the three powers that they had other than Shadow Rush. This also means that the
Pokemon are less likely to go into Hyper Mode. Once I was able to do that, I headed to Mt. Battle, and made my way to the
10th level. I then chose to have Bayleef and Quagsire take out as many of the other Pokemon there. Then I used Espeon. My
Espeon knew Reflect, Confusion, Return, and Psybeam. I also had Misdreavus out as well. Using these powers enabled me to take
out many of the other Pokemon that came before Entei. When Entei appreared, I used Confuse Ray. This helped to weaken it the
right amount. I then had Noctowl put it to sleep using Hypnosis when its damage was in the yellow. I then threw a Premiere
ball at it. I then caught it and was able to defeat the guy Dakim. I had Umbreon as a back up in case one of my
other Pokemon fainted.

Snag List
This Snag List just lists the Pokemon that you can catch, some
of which the gender of the Pokemon is almost always the same. Remember that for breeding in Ruby/Sapphire that you will have
to have a female!! I recommend saving after each snag if possible, that way if there is a Pokemon that you want to be female/male
you can then reset the game and it will go back to that save point. Also, if you save the game and you missed catching a Shadow
that was not the gender you wanted, the gender of that Pokemon is set. The only way to undo it is to start over completely.
Unless noted, all Pokemon can be either gender.
Makuhita, almost always male, BUT there is a chance that you can catch a female. It took me a while to catch
one.
Bayleef, I've only been able to get a female once so there is a slim chance of getting one that is female.
Croconaw, I usually don't get this one, but I lucked out and got a female the first try.
Quilava, isusually male. I've only gotten a female once and that took a couple of resets.
Noctowl Misdreavus Flaaffy
Slugma Furret
Yanma
Remoraid Mantine Qwilfish
Meditite Dunsparce Swablu
Gligar Stantler
Piloswine
Sneasel Aipom Murkrow
Forretress Ariados Granbull
Vibrava Delibird Sunflora
Ledian Skamory Absol
Tropius Tyranitar Houndoom
Ursaring Shuckle
Sudowoodo, I've only gotten a female once, usually male.
Hitmontop, always male.
Entei, no gender.
Suicune, no gender.
Heracross, I've only been able to get a male one. I'm sure that you can get a female though.
Milktank, always female.
Metagross, no gender.
Smeargle, since the guy has 4 of them, be careful, I lucked out and got a female, it was the only one he had.
Togetic, there was another site that said that it was almost always a male, but there was a slim chance that
a female could be caught. I'm not sure since I've only been able to get a male.

Catching Suicune
Suicune, the North Wind, is one of the hardest Pokemon to catch because it faints so easily. For my team,
I chose: Maganium (my evolved Bayleef), Misdreavus, Noctowl, Entei and, of course, Umbreon and Espeon. All of my Shadow pokemon
at this point were purified, even Entei. If Entei cannot be purified, just be sure that it knows all the fire attacks.
I
used Maganium and Espeon to take out Delcatty and Vileplume. Then I used Misdreavus and Entei to take out Banette and
Steelix. I continued to use Misdreavus and Umbreon to attack Suicune. Confuse Ray and Bite worked really well.
I then caught Suicune while its power was in the red with a Net ball. I did not get the chance to use Noctowl in this
battle, but its Fly may work to avoid Surf.
Catching Raikou
In order
to catch Raikou, be sure to have a few Ultra balls on hand. It is not hard to weaken Raikou, but it is a little tough to get
it to stay in the ball! For my team I had Entei and Suicune, both of which were purified by the time I got to Raikou, Misdreavus,
Maganium, Espeon and Umbreon. Huntail is one of the tougher Pokemon to get rid of. I used Espeon's Confusion and Psybeam.
Misdreavus' Shadow Ball will work well on him and then use these same attacks on Lanturn. Altaria likes to use Fly, so your
best bet is to use Confuse Ray as soon as possible. Maganium's Body Slam works well on any of these Pokemon. Golbat is another
hard one to get rid of, so Espeon's Psybeam and Midreavus', if it knows it, are a sure way to get rid of it quick. Another
thing, once all the water type Pokemon are gone, use Entei. Its bite works enough to bring down Raikou's energy without bringing
it down too much. Suicune's Surf works well on all non-water type Pokemon. It took 3 Ultra balls before Raikou would stay
in the ball! Paralyze and confuse it as soon as possible. Another technique that may be used is Hypnosis if you have a Pokemon
that can. Again, I had Umbreon as my back up for any others that may have fainted.

Pokemon Seen in Colosseum
(This list DOES NOT include the Shadow Pokemon!)
After you start playing the game, and you get the strategy memo, you can start collecting information on the
varios types of Pokemon in the game. Believe it or not, most of the Pokemon are actually on Mt. Battle!! I would recomend
that if you want to see the Pokemon in Story Mode, to head up Mt. Battle as soon as you can. Remember, you get to level up
too!!
